TRUE STORIES OF GHOSTS, HAUNTINGS AND SIGHTINGS OF SANTA HIMSELF DURING THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!  First, I just want to get a little "mushy" and then I want to tell you about some TRUE Christmas ghost stories!  Ok.....here comes the "mushy" part...

I wanted to take a minute and THANK ALL OF YOU who stop by and read my blog every Tuesday. You have know IDEA how much it means to me and how many times by writing my blog knowing you were depending on me..... made me smile and gave me strength when "life" was just "picking on me"(so to speak).  And for all of you who have connected with me on Facebook, it is so fun talking with you guys there.  Also, a SPECIAL THANKS to all of you who have emailed me and entrusted me by opening up yourself and sharing your paranormal experiences.  I know it is hard to share such personal things with people you don't really know and that you chose me, well....from the bottom of my heart Thank You and I am ALWAYS here if you need me!

One more thing and then I'll get to the "good stuff"...... when you are with your family and friends this Christmas....just take a moment and say a prayer for all of those who have been affected this past year by the violence of mass shootings and such terrible acts of terrorism as those in Paris and more recently in the US.  This is for my followers in France:  "  Puissent vos coeurs talon et peuvent vous sentir la chaleur de l'amour cette saison de vacances de chacun d'entre nous ici aux Etats-Unis et dans le monde. Que Dieu vous bĂ©nisse tous."  Translation: "May your hearts heel and may you feel the warmth of love this holiday season from all of us here in the US and around the world.  God Bless you all."

Ok.....now lets move on.....CHRISTMAS AND PARANORMAL phenomena have long had a close relationship. From the many miracles said to surround the birth of Jesus to the traditions of Dickens' ghosts in A Christmas Carol, it seems a time of year when the supernatural is possible. Following are just a few stories of encounters with ghosts and other strange phenomena at Christmas time -- including sightings of Santa Claus himself! What do you believe?

CHRISTMAS CHURCH GHOST

I never really believed in supernatural stuff, but this incident made me believe otherwise. This was about nine years ago in Samoa. I was playing hide-and-seek with the other little kids from my mum's village of Satua, Western Samoa. I was quite young then, so I always followed my older cousin around.

It was the middle of the night, and most of the kids were used to hiding anywhere in the dark. I wasn't used to it as I was only there for the Christmas holidays. I actually live in Australia.
Anyway, we all went to hide. Since we were all hiding in the graveyard, we all found our way around in the light that the church cast onto the graveyard. We all hid in the shadows and waited for the boy. We could all hear the boy coming, so we kept quiet. The boy was pretty loud, so we watched what he was making a fuss about. He had walked into the church as he thought that his brother was hiding there.
As he walked into the church, he later told us, he saw a boy standing right at the front of the altar.
He didn't know if it was his brother because the boy's back was turned. He ran up and tapped this boy on the shoulder. As soon as he did this, the strange boy disappeared! Our friend fainted!
We went home to tell his parents and we returned with the boy's parents to find him still lying there, dead still.
The parents took the boy home and we never played in the graveyard at night again. We later found out that the boy's brother had been at home the whole time and he hadn't been to the church at all! What really scared us was that the boy who fainted has been ill since that night and he still hasn't recovered to this day. Whoever it was in the church must have been pretty mad that we kids had disturbed him!-- Paulina T.

CHRISTMAS GHOST'S CARESS

It was Christmas time of 1995 or '96 at my aunt's house on a reservation in North Dakota. Some of my family was in the living room watching television, the kids were playing in the rooms or sleeping, and my uncle, aunt and I were sitting at the table putting a puzzle together. My cousin, who worked at a casino, would come home around midnight or 1 a.m.

This night, as she pulled up and was walking toward the house, she looked in the window and saw me sitting at the table, my uncle sitting across from me and someone standing to the left of me and someone standing in the corner, so she continued to walk in the house thinking nothing of it.
When she got in she said her hellos, put her stuff away and came and joined us at the table.
As we were sitting there talking, she looked at me and asked who was standing next to me a few minutes ago and who was in the corner. I told her no one and she said, "Yeah, there was someone standing next to you.

It looked like your mom and she was playing with your hair." (I have long hair, which I used to wear down all the time.) She said this person was running her hand on my hair, like a mother does to a child.

It kinda freaked me out, being I was probably only 12 or 13 at the time. My cousin swears up and down that someone was standing over me rubbing my head and watching me put the puzzle together with my aunt and uncle, and that there was another person standing behind this person. We got around to thinking it was probably her mom she saw. (She passed away on her birthday a week before Christmas back in 1992.)

In my family we consider our aunts and uncles to be just like our moms and dads. After thinking that it could have been her, it didn't scare me so much.  However, we couldn't figure out who the person was standing in the corner. And always around Christmas time something strange always happens... and we just think it's her visiting us.-- V. Page

SANTA STUFFS THE STOCKINGS

When I was nine years old (I am 30 now), I could not get too sleep on Christmas Eve because I was excited about presents and wondered if my parents had anything to do with the gifts that I received from Santa the year before.

That night it was hot because the heater was on (I lived in Texas), so I got thirsty. Also, I was wanting to spy. I got out of bed and cracked open my door to make sure no one was out in the living room, so that way I could get something to drink.

When I opened the door, I saw someone bent over, then he stood up.It was Santa Claus, dressed in the red and white get-up! Something strange was that I could see the Christmas lights from the tree shining through him. He was taking the stockings down off the mantel and placing them on the coffee table. When he started to turn around to put the next stocking on the table, I closed the door and jumped into bed.

The next morning I woke up and told my sister what I had seen. I told her where he had put the stockings. When we went into the living room, the stockings were where I said he had put them. We both turned and looked at each other and froze for a moment. From then on, I have told everyone that I believe in Santa! -- Misty G.

SANTA AT THE BEDROOM DOOR

It was 1961 on Christmas Eve. We were living in Boardman, Ohio. My bedroom was at the end of the house. I went to sleep on Christmas Eve. I don't know what time it was, but I know it was very late when I suddenly woke up. I was staring at my bedroom door, which was cater-corner from my bed. The door slowly opened, and I squinted my eyes shut just a bit because I didn't want my mother or father to catch me up in the middle of the night. There was a nightlight in the hallway and one behind the dresser in my room, so there was some light.

I was so astonished, however, at who opened the bedroom door. I found myself looking at a man dressed in a red suit. He had white trim around his waist, like fur, a long white beard, and was wearing a Santa hat. He had red pants and black boots. If I close my eyes, I can still see Santa standing in my door, it made such an impression on me.

He stood there and looked at me for a few seconds, then closed the door. I pulled the blankets over my head for a while - I was so scared! Finally, I looked out, but no one was there. The next day, I asked my mother if she or my father had been out of bed the previous night. My mother said no; in fact, my sister was only four months old, and my mother said she had slept through the night for the first time, and neither of my parents had gotten up, they were tired and they both slept.

So I don't know who or what looked in my bedroom that night. I told my mother I saw Santa, and she got really mad at me and told me that I did not. But I know what I saw... it was Santa Claus. And I swear this story did happen! I know I wasn't dreaming. -- Karrie K

And to all a good night.....
