About Me

My photo
Behind Every Cloud is a Kindred Spirit (BECKS)I lost my grandfather when I was 17. I had a VERY difficult time getting over it. How could I still communicate with him? I loved him so much I didn't think I could live without him. I read everything I could get my hands on to do with the "afterlife" and that started it all...the love of Ghost Hunting and the Paranormal. I have been researching the paranormal for over 37 years!! It is my way of staying in touch with my grandfather. Being a Ghost Hunter is not always as exciting as it seems on TV. Many nights I have sat in the dark and not a thing happened. BUT it is those times you DO get that one voice, that one explainable picture or have an experience that sends chills down your back that makes it sooo worth it all!!! My purpose of this blog is not to make people believe in ghosts but maybe to open their minds just a little bit... I LOVE this crazy thing called Ghost Hunting. It is as much a part of me as breathing. I am just a girl that refuses to accept we can't still contact our loved ones after they die. My grandfather won't let me.

THE HAUNTED CONGRESS HOTEL VIDEO!!!

Ok.  Here is the video of our EVP Session in the creepy stairwell in the Congress Hotel in Chicago up on the 12th floor.  I'm not going to repeat all the spirits that are roaming these halls.(read the earlier post on the hotel for more information).

I am trying to get better with my Video Talent(LOL) so just go with it..... ok? LOL  I tried to mark spots in the video and describe what is going on or about to happen.  This way you can skip through the video if you don't want to watch it all.

Let me know what you think......haunted???????

I never experienced any ghostly or unearthly entities, but I have a great story about my friend's dad. In New Orleans, 1980's on Canal Street, Tom N. was in the Loew's theatre (closed for a decade) looking for movie memorabilia for his den (keys were given to him by the present owner). Tom went to the offices looking around when he heard noises upstairs, thinking it might be homeless people that entered through the back, he grabbed his "loot" and hurried down back to the lobby. There he laid his stuff down on the counter that has a mirror wall... he looked up and saw in the reflection, a man in a tux looking at him. Tom turned around, no one to be seen (he was the only one there) and ran out without the stuff. I went to the theatre later for a Bauhaus concert in the 90's, it was an old theatre from the 20's designed for MGM releases, the building itself might have been built earlier. This city has so many haunted places to visit but I hate the fact that the crime keeps me away. You can't go in the French Quater without an armed guard, large group or without somebody trying to scam you. I heard it was so much nicer in the 60's and earlier.

Doc that is a great story! I have plans to return to New Orleans and check out some of the haunted places. So the crime is bad there? I will have to let you know where I am going and you will have to let me know if it is in a bad part of town. I have had many experiences over the years with the paranormal. But I love it and the experiences I have had even though they may have been scary at the time, I still love them. :)

They do have tour guides as well, a buddy of mine I think still gives them around the French Quarter. Seems the crime goes down in numbers during the winter season! LOL!

I will have to get your buddy's name if he still does the tours. I'm not sure when I will get there, I have several things coming up but when I do, I'll give you a shout and find out where I need to visit. Thanks for the information.
