You hear strange sounds in the night, even though you’re
home alone. You smell pipe tobacco in an
empty room, but no one smokes. A door
slams shut by itself, even though you are alone and there is no breeze. Are there logical explanations? Maybe……maybe
not.
The Amityville Horror House-One of the MOST famous haunted houses of all. |
Living in a haunted house can be terrifying, but however,
most spirits are friendly and don’t mean to scare us. It’s just that has long as we can remember,
we have been told ghosts are bad, evil and to be afraid of them. The best way to deal with a spirit that calls
YOUR house home….is to show no fear and deal with spirits in a logical, calm,
and assertive manner. Knowing not only
what type of ghost or spirit you’re dealing with, but also the type of haunting
you may be experiencing, will help alleviate your fear. In “Becky terms” it’s like having a fever,
runny nose and cough…once you figure out if you have a COLD or if it’s the FLU,
once you have figured it out you know HOW to treat it.
If strange things are
starting to go on in your home, and that “six sense” that I talk about starts
to KICK IN really heavy…. that those footsteps, electrical problems,
unexplained noises, doors opening and closing, objects being moved, missing
objects, unexplained smells or odors, voices, cold spots, feeling of being
watched, animals behaving strangely, moving objects, shadows, physical attacks
or being touched, apparitions, unexplained writing on walls or mirrors ALL
these things could be signs that your house is haunted.
As you can see, there are many possibilities when it comes
to the symptoms of a haunted house, with paranormal activity being experienced. Look for the LOGICAL explanation to any
activity first!!! It’s normal to be
scared or shaken up by these events. Try
to remain calm and take a proactive stance in an effort to determine the cause
of any activity.
There are many TV shows on how to get rid of a ghost, some I
agree with and some I don’t. Each
situation is different. But here are a few ideas that may help you get rid of a
ghost or spirit (if that’s what you want to do). After my last post on Haunted
Dolls I’m not too sure that some people seek out spirits to live with. I am
NOT saying that these will solve your problem, but they have worked for ME in
the past, as I have experienced some hauntings in my home as well. As with anything, if you are uncomfortable in
ANY way, or do not want to do any of the following suggestions, then call for
HELP. Get in touch with a Paranormal
Group or a clergy.
TALK TO THE
SPIRIT. Tell them you don’t want
them there and that this is YOUR home now and they have to leave. As simple as this sounds, talking to the
ghost is generally the easiest way either to have the ghost leave or at least
reach some type of compromise to cohabitate. It is the FIRST thing I would
recommend.
DO NOT SHOW
FEAR. I know, easy for me to say,
right? I completely understand!!! But some types of ghosts feed off your fear
and become stronger and more powerful.
Try to stay calm if you can.
SAGE YOUR HOME. You can burn sage incense or dried
sage(some say in every room at the SAME time, but I don’t think that is
necessary) but sage each room and repeat this simple house blessing in every
room:
Please bless this
house and fill it with only positive energy, happiness, love and peace. Anyone who enters this space can only be
someone who is filled with love and happiness.
Any negative energy or beings can no longer reside with these walls, and
they are to leave and are forbidden to enter this home again. This room is hereby blessed and filled with
only love, peace and happiness.
Don’t forget your attics and basements.
PRAY. Pray to whomever or whatever you believe
in. The power of Prayer is VERY
POWERFUL!!!
Ok. I have talked WAY
too much on this subject and it is one of those subjects I may have to have
different parts to…..like part 1, part 2, etc.
There is sooo much to talk about here.
I have many, many readers who have experienced living in a
haunted home. And to this day, it has
left a LASTING impression on their lives…..be it a GOOD impression or something
they WISH they could forget. Please
email me with your stories….Have a great week you guys!
